Hello all of our AGLC family! This month we are continuing as usual with not many changes. Just a reminder to pay invoice before 2:30 for night groups and a 1/2 hour before day groups if you want an invite. Web are celebrating our 9 year agency anniversary this month! In honor of this special and monumental occasion for us, we are having a special celebration! This Friday, October 9, 2020 we will have a "dessert bar" with coffee and bottled waters you can take to go. While you are there register to win a $25 gift card from our drawing. The time for this celebration is from 9:30 until 2:30 and it is at our Austin Bluffs location. Come in and say "Hi" and congratulate us (please!) and pick up some goodies! We look forward to seeing You! Have a great October everyone!
Well hello to our AGLC family! Just a few announcements/updates. First of all, if there is inclement weather we will not have our hybrid groups, Everyone will be on zoom if we decide to close office. Check bottom of homepage or our FB page for details on bad weather days.
Second, we will be closed on Labor day, September 7th. Shaelyn will answer phone until 4 pm if you have an emergency that cannot wait until Tuesday. The Monday night Level II education class will be held via zoom as usual.
Third, All UA's outsourced (done outside of our agency) must be emailed or sent top us if you want credit on your Discharge paperwork for doing them. Always bring us your court paperwork as soon as you have gone to court!
Last of all, Don't forget about our FREE support groups Friday nights. Zoom ID is 846 9587 5097. Regular 5-6 and faith based is 6-7 pm mountain time.
BIG announcement! Our office manager (Shaelyn) will be in the office every day Monday-Friday from 8:30 until 2:30. For females doing UA’s she will no longer be monitoring past 2:30 so you will need to go to another place for testing if you cannot make it before 2:30. For men it remains the same for UA’s as Eric will be at the office on OUR TESTING days from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. As always, when in doubt just call us.
Our email address is email@example.com please do not reply to our invoice or email any counselor directly if you know their personal email address. Anything pertaining to invoice, class hours, affidavit, appointments, needs to go through our office manager and you can call her @ 719-632-8654 or email her until 4 pm Monday-Friday.
Also, we have a new mental health counselor. Her name is Vanesa Hoener. She has agreed to offer a one hour mental health session for $60 to anyone who would like extra help during these tough times. Just think, you pay $60 for your manicure/pedicure, dog grooming, coffee each week, etc. Why is your mental health not as important? You can schedule one appointment a week or one a month or whatever your needs are. We are here to help you! Please call our office to set up an appointment in person or through zoom.
FREE zoom support group still being offered every Friday! Zoom ID is 846 9587 5097. Secular support group 5-6 pm and Faith based/spiritual support group 6-7 pm. ALL are welcome!
Please remember to pay your invoice before 4 pm for all those attending the night group or you will not get an invite to that nights group! All morning groups please pay 1 hour to ½ hour before class at the very least. Thank you!
We are working on a new payment system that is easier for all. Stay tuned (check back)!
Just a reminder that all invoices for morning groups must be paid before group so we will let you join if it is paid up to 1/2 hour before. Evening groups must pay by 4 pm to receive an invite as our office manager will not be available to check payment status after that time.
New mask mandate per Gov. Polis extends through August 14th. Masks are required in public places an this includes when you enter our office for any service or when attending an in-person group.
See below for 7 things you need to know posted in the Colorado Springs Gazette:
Here are "7 things to know about the statewide mask mandate":
• The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said it will not issue citations for people who don't wear masks.
• A business that refuses to comply with the statewide order could risk losing its license.
• Counties that complete certification for Protect Our Neighbors can be exempt from the statewide order.
• Certain activities are exempt from the restrictions of the order. People are not required to wear a mask when:
-Hearing-impaired or otherwise disabled or are communicating with someone who is hearing impaired or otherwise disabled and where the ability to see the mouth is essential to communication.
-Seated at a food service establishment.
-Exercising alone or with others from their household, and when a face covering would interfere with the activity.
-Receiving a personal service where the temporary removal of the face-covering is necessary to perform the service.
-Entering a business or receiving services and are asked to temporarily remove a face covering for identification purposes.
-Actively engaged in a public safety role such as law enforcement, firefighters, or emergency medical personnel.
-Officiating at a religious service.
-Giving a speech for broadcast or an audience.
Just a reminder that we are closed today , July, 3rd and tomorrow, July 4th. We have been updating our FB page almost daily. Please check there and follow for new information and pictures of our remodel. We are forced to change our group zoom ID now every 20 days or so. Please expect to log into zoom with a new ID number this week. Zoom ID for free support group (every Friday 5 pm and 6 pm) is 846 9587 5097. Zoom also requests that we enable waiting room. You may be unable to get into group automatically without a host letting you in. Please be patient as we will log in early and let individuals in as quickly as we can. We also need service plan updates when they are requested. If they are not provided (or other items requested such as court document, assessments, screening, etc) then this will result in non-compliance in those areas on your discharge form. Just a reminder that all invoices for morning groups must be paid before group so we will let you join if it is paid up to 1/2 hour before. Evening groups must pay by 4 pm to receive an invite as our office manager will not be available to check payment status after that time. We are expanding our office hours but we still ask that you call before coming into office. If you have made an appointment then we will be there ready to help! Have a safe and sober Holiday weekend!
Hello AGL Family! A couple of announcements is all we have right now. First, our free support group is every Friday on zoom. Zoom ID 102488569. Just put ID number where it says join group after you download the zoom app. It is very easy! The first group starts at 5 pm mountain time and the second group (faith based) starts at 6 pm mountain time. Join one or both! For any agency updates please see our FB page!
Second, we will no longer allow background screens on zoom. This is a HIPPA violation as we must see that you are in a room with no distractions and no one in the room or within earshot of you during group! Also, keep in mind that you cannot be driving or in the car with other people during our zoom groups. We post rules on invite so please read them so that you will not get booted from group!
Come check out our office and new remodel! We still have limited hours from 10-12 Monday-Friday with one or two days being our "long day" for UA's and individual sessions when we stay until 4 pm. Please call before coming in. Thank you!
We will be closed 3rd and 4th of JULY!

Hello! We have added a resource page for food banks and additional help during this tough time. Please check it out! We are up and running with our tele-health groups. If you wish to join a group or sign up to do classes please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. This has been a hectic past week. Thank you for your patience! We are confident that the following weeks will go much smoother with our tele-health. We will be invoicing early in the week for all groups and individual sessions. You must pay invoice an hour before group or individual session starts in order to join group going forward to eleveate issues with zoom counselor and host trying to start group and checking status of payments.
We do offer a financial hold so please email us if this is needed. If you are in need of a receipt or progress report please email and request one.
If you have interlock you still are required to calibrate your device. Contact your provider if you have questions or cannot leave your home due to sickness.
We will still do UA's as this is a requirement. We will be at our office one day a week for UA's. Please call or email if you have questions.
As always, if you are sick or in contact with someone who shows symptoms or has tested positive please let us know ASAP and do not go to office or out in public. We hope for a quick and easy recovery if you are ill.
FREE support groups on Friday through zoom with Eric. Secular support group from 5-6 pm and faith based support group from 6-7. You can attend both AND invite others to join!
March 22, 2020,
A Good Life Counseling will be closed starting March 23rd for all groups until further notice. Staff will be available to answer any phone calls or emails and will also be at the agency one day each week unless shut down is required. Furthermore, the one day a week we will be open, we will be holding individual appointments and monitored sobriety testing only. If you have not signed up for the telehealth group, please call A Good Life Counseling or email staff at email@example.com.
You will be getting an invoice for the scheduled group via email. This invoice allows you to pay thru PayPal, debit, or credit card. Invoice will be sent by the evening before your group. Pay invoice in order to join group. This can be done through any credit card, debit card or paypal account you have. Half an hour before your scheduled group starts, you will get an invitation to join the telehealth group- so long as your invoice has previously been paid. If you have a credit for the group, you will not receive an invoice so make sure to check your email half an hour before the telehealth group starts for an invitation.
You will receive an email from one of our counselors. Once the email is opened, you will see a link stating, “Join Zoom Meeting.” Click on this link and it will automatically connect you to the teletherapy group.
If you do not have an email, you will have to set one up to receive an invitation to the group.
Please download the zoom app so that you will have easy access to the group meeting, rather than trying to download it while the group should be starting.
As always, anyone arriving 10 minutes or later to the telehealth group will not be given credit for the group. You will also not get credit for the group if you try to leave the telehealth group early. It does notify the hosts and counselor when individuals enter and leave the group. Please find a room where you will have little to no disturbances. Keep in mind that this group needs to remain as confidential as possible so do not invite others to listen in or share the meeting link.
Please contact A Good Life Counseling staff at (719) 357-8120 (call or text), (719) 632-8654 (call only), or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any troubles with the invoice, do not receive an invoice, do not receive an invitation to the group half an hour before it is scheduled to start, or are having troubles accessing the app.
We are happy to be able to offer this service and that it is still available in spite of the unusual circumstances we are all in. We wish you and yours health and good wishes. If you wish to join our FREE support group please contact us. It is available to everyone.
